چکیده

High-resolution gridded 2 m air temperature datasets are important input data for global and regional climate change studies, agrohydrologic model simulations numerical weather predictions, etc. In this study, the digital elevation (DEM) is used to correct forecasts produced by ECMWF. The multi-grid variation formulation method then fuse from corrected ground automatic station observations. fused dataset covers area over (0–60°N, 70–140°S), where different underlying surfaces exist, such as plains, basins, plateaus, mountains. spatial temporal resolutions 1 km h, respectively. comparison of fusion with verification observations, including 2400 stations, indicates that accuracy superior European Centre Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) data. This because a more significant number stations high-resolution terrain generate than utilized in obtained can describe feature peaks valleys precisely. Due its continuous coverage consistent quality, one China’s most widely datasets. However, uncertainty will increase areas sparse observations high mountains, we must be cautious when using these areas.

Air temperature estimation based on environmental parameters using remote sensing data

This study is aimed at estimating monthly mean air temperature (Ta) using the MODIS Land Surface Temperature (LST), Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), latitude, altitude, slope gradient and land use data during 2001-2015. The results showed that despite some spatial similarities between annual spatial patterns of Ta and LST, their variations are significantly different, so that the...

Air temperature retrieval from remote sensing data based on thermodynamics

A new approach to retrieving air temperature from land surface temperature is presented. The new method is based on thermodynamics. Two important parameters, namely crop water stress index and aerodynamic resistance, were used to build a quantitative relationship between the land surface temperature and the ambient air temperature. The method was applied using MODIS satellite data for a locatio...

Suitability Evaluation for Products Generation from Multisource Remote Sensing Data

With the arrival of the big data era in Earth observation, the remote sensing communities have accumulated a large amount of invaluable and irreplaceable data for global monitoring. These massive remote sensing data have enabled large-area and long-term series Earth observation, and have, in particular, made standard, automated product generation more popular. However, there is more than one ty...

An Updating System for the Gridded Population Database of China Based on Remote Sensing, GIS and Spatial Database Technologies

The spatial distribution of population is closely related to land use and land cover (LULC) patterns on both regional and global scales. Population can be redistributed onto geo-referenced square grids according to this relation. In the past decades, various approaches to monitoring LULC using remote sensing and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) have been developed, which makes it possible f...
